2.) Lovely. What made you choose this name for your OC?
Her hair is red, and Akane means red.

She thinks it's too cliche =_=

No, because she thinks it's pointless.
5.) What is your OC's background? Where did they come from?
Her father was a lower middle class chef who also painted on the side. her mother died giving birth to her and her father died in an accident when she was in middle school. She has the ability to see ghosts, and her father's ghost stayed behind to watch over her.
6.) Describe how your OC looks, or just give us a picture. Your call.
She has very long red hair that covers her back and green eyes. She is short, but not too short, and is a little round, especially in the chest. She has round cheeks and her eyebrows slant inwards, so she looks a little angry all the time.
7.) Why did you pick your OC to have this appearance?
Her appearance just randomly came to me and I decided to use her for this particular story. I decided to make her pretty and her body 'desirable' because her classmates are supposed to find her attractive and also because her mother and half-sister are supposed to be very pretty.
8.) Does your OC symbolise anything else?
No, she doesn't symbolise anything but her character is compared to a cat many times.
9.) What fandom is your OC from? Or is he/she/it in an Original Story?
An original developing manga called 'GhostxGirl'. She is the 'Girl' in the title.
10.) I see. Can you summarize your OC's story?
It's pretty complicated, but to summarize:
Akane has always had the power to see ghosts and chooses to ignore them. Hiroshi is a suicide victim who decided to stay behind for revenge on the people who drove him to suicide, which include the teachers and students of the school. Being the only one who can see him, Akane must save the school from him, and soon she realises his revenge is more dangerous than a couple of pranks played on the students. When Hiroshi begins pursuing Akane, she pretends to like him back to stop him from destroying the school. She tries to solve the mystery behind Hiroshi's death so he can move on, and stumbles upon much deeper secrets hidden in the school's past, which turns out to be pretty intertwined with her own past and where she comes from.

Akane with Hiroshi: At first, they are hostile to eachother, one trying to disrupt student life with his pranks and the other trying to stop him. After Akane learns Hiroshi's story, she becomes curious and tries to help him move on from his ghost form. Soon Hiroshi falls for Akane and pursues her teasingly. Akane treats him with caution and only pretends to yield to him at first. But soon she begins to ask herself whether she really loves him. In the end, she breaks down after she realises that he has moved on to the afterlife.
Akane with Shoji: Shoji is a classmate of Akane who has a huge crush on her. They were in the same elementary school class and eventhough they went to different middle schools, he recognised her during class introductions. He is a cheerful and somewhat adorable character, but ice-cold Akane rejects his friendship at first. But soon she begins to warm up to him, along with a couple of other female friends. When Hiroshi gets jealous of their closeness, Akane first uses Shoji to anger him, by giving Shoji her first kiss. However, later she protects him from Hiroshi. In the end, she chooses him after she sends Hiroshi to the afterlife.
12.) When you were making your OC, how did you plan it out?
I had the idea for a story about a suicide victim terrorising a school first. Then I needed a main character girl to oppose the ghost and fall in love with him. I sort of picked up a red haired OC idea I had from a random sketch and went along with it, though I don't remember how it happened. After that, her personality, family and looks were evolved from the story itself.
13.) Describe your OC's personality.
She is naturally the kind of person who find it awkward to express her emotions properly. She seems to hate clingly people, but in secret she likes sincere friends and will go to any lengths to protect them. She acts icy towards her classmates. However, she likes standing up to the teachers when they pick on weaker classmates. She also enjoys reading detective manga.
14.) Why does your OC act this way? Is it because of their past? Or is it because of a certain event or person?
She isn't very sociable to her class because she wants to keep a low profile so she doesn't attract trouble both from students and the strict teachers. She had a rough past with no one to take care of her except the ghost of her father. Her personality is the type that doesn't like expressing emotion. She also had many bad experiences with ghosts in her childhood, before she learned to counter them.
15.) What is one deep dark secret your OC has?
Her ability to talk to ghosts is the biggest secret she keeps, but a few of her new friends at the school find out soon.
16.) What does your OC regret the most?
She regrets that she couldn't save the dead people she meets in the story, from her father (whose ghost she had to exorcise so that he wouldn't be attacked by the malevolent ghosts after her), the little girl's ghost in the school courtyard, Hiroshi, and finally her older half-sister Shiori, who she did not even know existed.
17.) What is the worst thing that has ever happened to your OC?
I can't decide between losing both her parents and finding out her mother had another husband and daughter before she ran away from them and married her father, or confronting her half-sister's ghost and not being able to save her soul.
18.) What is the best thing that has ever happened to your OC?
Possibly meeting her newfound friends, and also her father's ghost coming to live with her after his death.

Yaaay Akane! She's my current second-favourite character to talk about because I've been working on GhostxGirl's plot like crazy for the last couple of months. These memes are great because they help me develop the plot as well as the characters and set them properly.
